Hey, several pro riders have stuck with the Q-Ring (and other similar non-round chainrings). I have friends who ride with Q-Rings on their SS mountain bikes.
But the REAL treasures are the "imitation Biopace" cranks that you occasionally bump into... I think Suntour and Sugino had em... Just remember, look but don't buy...Insist on the ORIGINAL!!
