Garth, I ride Merrells on my grip kings, both Sandals and Proterra. Love them. They give me great support on platforms for long rides on my load-hauler (made a 4000 calorie ride last summer with a 2300' climb). They don't fit in the clips on my go-fast bike, which loads on the ball of my foot, and I ride Chrome Kursk which have solid shanks on that bike.
