I love the idea of hinge tracks. Four inch wide hinge tracks. With
all the winter madness going on, I sat in the living room with tools
and hinges, and started putting things together in the hope of having
a rolling chassis soon. And boy are my wrists and forearms sore! The
locknuts take a lot of twisting; I think it'll take me a few weeks to
get the tracks together, but with the arrival of another box from
McMaster-Carr, all I have left to get is the gears and chains.

I made a mid-course correction from the M60 (which will have
suspension, and take a while), to the new tank which will be
unsuspended, using the 4" wide KTS tracks... The simple and quick
tank (so I can go paint targets sometime before Christmas) is an
Israeli Ti-67. By not suspending it, I'm getting a roller quicker
and it's helping me stay motivated to screw together all those
hinges...
