Well, that would be difficult to coat *every *part of the tank. You would
have to seal all tiny cracks and grooves. Another problem would be the
detailed mechanical parts (eg. springs) that first of all must be tediously
coated and once dried, the epoxy may split and crack from wear and constant
movement. Nobody would want these parts to rust or fill with water.

It is a good idea and may be possible. But it would probably take
consideration before building the tank from the beginning.
