On my 50 pitch chain I left the factory lube on and it didn't attract
that much dirt, but it was new old stock chain and the factory lube
was pretty well dried up. On the 2060 chain I got from Will, I don't
plan on removing the lube either. It's sticky and nasty, but it's
stout enough that any dirt and stuff will just come off during running
of the tank. I've never seen a tank that has clean tracks.
