I took the tank round to the possible site yesterday. Here is my report:

I didn’t video the bit where I spent 5 minutes unravelling binder twine from the rear sprocket- as I said, I’ll have to do some more clearing. Access is not easy- I propose to build a “stretcher” to get tanks over the verge as there’s no way you can wheel in- well, anything with wheels or tracks. If you think this will do then I suggest a 2 day event- I have lots of floor space and a trailer tent and possibly spare beds depending on how many of my numerous offspring are present- with 1 or 2 sessions here and possibly 1 in my garden (which is a reasonable size but like a billiard table, of course*). Sneak preview This is the robot as built so far: http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff13/sasquevaneach/Robot.jpg Needs wiring up and finishing off, but this is the basic concept. As you will recall, the idea was to build infantry, but I can’t get all the necessary into an even approximately human-shaped paintball-proof hull (mind you, neither can full-size humans) so I went with the robot shape as producing the same effect as a soldier if not the same appearance.
