I have a second 6V AAA pack in the garage. I'll feed the servo off of it
and see how it goes.
I'll connect the ground to my existing pack, leave the signal wire in place,
and connect the
hot for the servo to the new pack. Since I have to try and recruit some
more R/C tankers
tomorrow at Snelling, that should fix it for now. I ended up mounting a
second 12V battery
in the hull to power the 12Vtraverse motor. I wish it could handle 24V, but
I don't want to
risk toasting the motor. If that could be run off 24V, I wouldn't need the
extra 12V battery.
Of course that would also mean I would need a different speed controller
that could handle
24V. The Vantec RET411 can't.

Sorry George, I have two 22" monitors connected to my computer at 1600x1200
resolution
and I can see all the text very clearly through Gmail. Didn't know it was
an issue since I
don't have that problem reading my own Emails... ;)

Thanks guys, I knew you could figure it out. I hadn't run into this issue
yet since up until last night
I didn't have all of the systems connected and running at the same time.
Besides some interior
clean-up of wires, building the gun shield, and closing off the gun mantlet
I would say this tank
is fully operational and ready for battle.
