I have a need for using available and cheap wiper motors as servo
motors. is there a basic circuit for controlling the start/stop
position using a rotary or linear encoder circuit or using a pot like
small servos?

I also have some large powerfull 24v dc wheelchair motors that I would
like to maby use if possible.

Can anyone point me to a scematic or descrive to me how the basic
encoder/servo circuit would work.
I would rather build the circuit without any chips or microprocessors
if possible.
I also have lots or rc servos that I can strip for parts if needed.
but I think that a encoder circuit might work better. and I have
several encoders striped from old vcr's and printers...
