hmmm, i tried googling - rubber band tracks - Tyne track system cant find any good links .... i already tried googling before posting here, if i could find any resources on building smaller tanks, but unsuccesful.
and all the track systems presented here http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/track-systems/ seem to be for big tanks ..... my tank is ready to get its tracks, but i have no idea how to make them, or even worse, how to make them stay in their place. i'm using fixed wheel configuration (no suspension), and it looks pretty much like this : http://www.rctankcombat.com/tanks/T027/ i would like something simple to make, but that would still work pretty ok. (wont jump off everytime i make a turn) my tank is 50cm X 30 cm, and will weight arround 5 kg when its done. thanks On Mon, Jan 4, 2010 at 5:33 AM, Steven Crooks <[email protected]>wrote: > > My 2 cents... > > On that scale, > the commercial rubber band tracks seem to work ok. > (Tyne track system or variation thereoff...) > > The fubar version, with metal links and pads and bolts would be > a clunker ... > > Steven C. > > --- On Sun, 1/3/10, Peter Pišljar <[email protected]> wrote: > > > From: Peter Pišljar <[email protected]> > > Subject: [TANKS] tracks > > To: [email protected] > > Date: Sunday, January 3, 2010, 12:01 PM > > what track system would you suggest for a > > small tank (1:24, 1:36) ? > > > > thaNKs > > > > > > > > > > -- > > > > You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank > > Combat" group. > > > > To post a message, send email to > > [email protected] > > > > To unsubscribe, send email to > > [email protected] > > > > Visit the group at http://groups.google.com/group/rctankcombat > > > > > -- > You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group. > To post a message, send email to [email protected] > To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected] > Visit the group at http://groups.google.com/group/rctankcombat -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
