It is “Tyng” Track System (TTS) named after Steve Tyng, and is shown on that
rctankcombat track-systems page.

At 50cm, any of the track methods will suit you, with appropriately sized
components. What sort of tank is it?

Subject: Re: [TANKS] tracks

hmmm, i tried googling
 - rubber band tracks
 - Tyne track system

cant find any good links ....
i already tried googling before posting here, if i could find any resources on
building smaller tanks, but unsuccesful.

and all the track systems presented here
http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/track-systems/
seem to be for big tanks .....

my tank is ready to get its tracks, but i have no idea how to make them,
or even worse, how to make them stay in their place.

i'm using fixed wheel configuration (no suspension), and it looks pretty much
like this :
http://www.rctankcombat.com/tanks/T027/

i would like something simple to make, but that would still work pretty ok.
(wont jump off everytime i make a turn)

my tank is 50cm X 30 cm, and will weight arround 5 kg when its done.

thanks

My 2 cents...

On that scale,
the commercial rubber band tracks seem to work ok.
(Tyne track system or variation thereoff...)

The fubar version, with metal links and pads and bolts would be
a clunker ...
