The VEX 2.4ghz conversion is a simple affair. I'm just about finished with it and will be publishing a how-too article. Besides the frequency conversion I've replaced the right stick with a couple of push-buttons and a three-position rocker switch. All this effort to convert a VEX may seem overkill but I had the radio on the shelf and more importantly, it already had two channels setup on push-buttons. When it's all done the system will have to analog controls (left stick) and eight on-off controls, perfect for R/C warship combat which is the intended application.
