Hi Chrys , the only tank with DW 960 is Phils Hetser ,(T057) and it didnt participate in the recent battle, the motors havent had any kind of proper test yet because in its first and only battle ( Anarchy in the UK ) I ran it at only 12v and at low gear with a knocked up MAG esc inside it. It managed to earn its self some battle field points . T057 is now back in the hands of its rightful owner ,I hope to be seeing it fight the good fight for many battles to come. T057 could be run at 24v in high gear and be the fastest tank in the UK ,but I wouldnt advise it, it wouldnt survive . I dont know what it weighed ,Id guess around 18-20 kg + batteries.
The other Tanks preformed well enough , My friend Jason has advised me to re wire the Leopard with thicker wires much like you yourself advised me about two years ago to do the same. I`ve never been a good listener but now I think i should . during the first battle of the day things are ok, but the problems start on the second battle after only an hour or often less of cooling down time. I fitted a fan that blows onto the sabertooth thinking it was that that was overheating , but im now sure its the wires that are at fault. T068 worked great all weekend ,T055 ploughs along and the valentine construction goes backwards just before a battle. what can you do ?
