T076 (T-76 makes the Sherman sound Russian)'s track cleats are spaced
1 1/8" from side A of cleat 1 to side A of cleat 2, with each cleat
being 7/8" wide.

As for the strength of the idler wheel springs, they are exactly as
strong as they need to be. If you notice, each idler does not have 2
springs each, but rather 4. One small spring is inside the other
larger spring. I found that the one large spring was not sufficient
alone and no other spring avaiable at the local hardware store was
stiff enough. So I used 2 that fit one inside the other, happened to
combine to the proper tension. I dont happen to know what the specs
are on those 2 springs are with out running down to Ace Hardware, but
I will in a few days when I am off work if so requested.
