I already stated that a simple set-screw, pin or collar can be used to lock down the turret using the Tri-Pact/Tyng rotation approach. Such concepts also become readily apparent when trying to mount the rotate motor mechanism, but that's not the question that was asked.

Keep in mind, people ask for advice and we provide it based on our experience. If your experience is different, then by all means provide your advice and let them decide for themselves.
