The Scorpion Mini is a great little ESC and has been spinning the Cromwell's turret since 05 without issue. At 24v you should consider disabling the onboard BEC otherwise it will run hotter than it should. This is done by desoldering and removing the onboard voltage converter. The ESC is rated at 2.5A continuous and 4A surge. I’d highly recommend mounting it to a chunk of aluminum for cooling. Robot Power has a new higher rated ESC called the WASP. It's a bit more refined in that you can disable the BEC by snipping a jumper. It is rated 10A continuous and 30A peak.
IMO, Robot Power makes some of the most rock solid ESC’s available.
