Fan Fan,
Here is a link to adding buttons to a transmitter from a model warship club 
website.  I've used these directions to add buttons to Futaba and Hobby King 
radios, so they are not just for Airtronics.  If you are not comfortable with 
soldering electronics, then find someone who can help you.  Radio Shack will 
have all the parts necessary for the mod.
 
Rather than replacing one of the sticks like the directions show, I replaced 
one of the toggle switches at the top of my transmitter with a push button.  
Use a good quality push button (Momentary, SPST Normally Open, or SPDT), not 
the cheapest you can find or it may not work every time.

How did you guy wire the fire button on the controller? Most of the controllers 
I find are for planes, with no convenient buttons or triggers for the for 
firing the gun. Where can I get a controllers with a trigger?
