Happy Easter to all.   Brushless motors will work.. with the right set up 
.. and right motor.  I dont think that the ones you are referring to will 
work in a big tank.  They may work in a small one.  The nice things about 
the wheel chair motors is they are already geared, mounting brackets and 
can move lots of weight.  I built an electric mini skid steer with a 4ft 
snow blade on it using wheel chair motors.  The chair weights over 160lbs 
and with me on it can move heavy snow no problem.  
I hope you can find a motor that works for you .. brushless are great in rc 
trucks, planes and choppers and maybe the right one in a tank.
