Finished and installed the all metal track. Video of metal track: http://youtu.be/jsLgwsshCGA http://youtu.be/-TSJeEQpofc http://youtu.be/e-FlL4REZpE http://youtu.be/za6dVn3mnKs There are 3 characteristics of the new track: 1 It is very quiet and smooth operating. 2 It has Huge traction! I can lay on the concrete sidewalk and put my feet on the front of the tank, and it will push me backwards! 3 There is zero slippage between the drive sprocket and the track. So far, I have run it for about 1200 yards, on asphalt, concrete and grass. At first I had 6 connecting pins loose their spring clips and work sideways. There are 700 spring clips, so maybe some were not installed correctly? Anyway, no pins have moved in the last 800 yards. I have had 15 rubber pads come loose. At first the weather was warm and no pads were lost, now the weather is below freezing and I loose 2 pads every 100 yards. The superglue used to glue the pads on, fails at low temperatures. Now, I am using a better, contact cement (automotive door gasket glue) and it looks like it will hold up. Fortunatly, the track runs good with out the pads. So far, I am happy with the new track!
