I thought of a way to do Auto-Target acquisition.
Tanks generally run hotter than either the terrain or operators, due to 
motor heat and the sun. So all you need to do to get a tank to shoot 
another one automatically is to put a thermal camera on there, and use the 
Open-source Sentry Gun software to shoot at anything hotter than 100 
degrees F. No way to avoid friendly fire though.

I was actually thinking of sticking a 250w YAG laser in the 
barrel. 120mm Gun at 1/6 scale is just big enough for the rod and flash 
tubes.
