Hey Steve, I was particularly interested in this link you posted: http://www.fieldofarmortanks.com/product_p/foa-my1018.htm We chose a similar 450W motor with gearbox ourselves after consulting some websites. I have a few questions about the torque at the output though.
The link says the "rated torque at 440 RPM" is 1.43 N.m. With some short calculations (Wattage = Torque * angular velocity, angular velocity = 3000/60 * 2pi = 314 rad/s. Torque = wattage/angular velocity. 450/314 = 1.43) I noticed that this would be the expected torque at 3000 RPM. When the gearbox "tunes down" the RPM, doesn't the torque increase accordingly? I expected the torque at output to be around the 10 N.m. Thanks in advance, Hessel Op vrijdag 21 maart 2014 02:30:31 UTC+1 schreef TyngTech: > > Hey Hessel, aka Dutch Guy, > > The EV Warriors are hard to find nowadays.
