I'm not sure a paintball grenade would work, Frank.  First, they throw a 
LOT of paint over a long distance.(up to 30 ft) Not only would that coat 
the vehicle being destroyed, but also the operator if he was standing near 
his tank.  
Second, they're fairly expensive. ($6.00-$9.00 a pop) A full day of 
battling would be fairly expensive. 
Couldn't you do something simpler like when the driver want to detonate his 
mine, he yells "Detonating", and any vehicle within two paces is considered 
destroyed?   Or something along those lines.
