Foli could print in tpu and have a flexible moldSent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE Device -------- Original message --------From: Doug Conn <[email protected]> Date: 4/25/20 5:07 PM (GMT-06:00) To: R/C Tank Combat <[email protected]> Subject: [TANKS] Re: T093 Rebuild Very nice !I've been wondering about 3d printing the molds directly, as opposed to printing a master part and then making a rubber mold. If the mold was printed in PLA and waxed and treated with mold release, do you think cast parts would come out OK ?On Friday, April 24, 2020 at 7:23:41 PM UTC-4, Caleb Smith wrote:Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well and staying safe. Things have been a bit quiet here for quite some time. Lately I've been working on rebuilding my M22 Locust into a working tank again. Two days of hard battling (her first battle) in Gettysburg brought out a lot of shortcomings. The major ones were poor power, weak tracks that broke a lot of teeth off, and 3d printed sprockets and idlers that didn't take the stress well. So, to fix all that I'm installing 250w M01 motors, casting plastic tracks, and making new sprockets and idlers out of plywood. Attached are a few pics of my progress. I hope to post more updates here frequently to hopefully get some conversations going and maybe motivate anyone that's building a tank out there. Maybe we'll have a battle this year.
