How is a thesis writer, for example, construct a footnote or
bibliography? We are not islands unto ourselves. We are part of a
larger bibliographic universe.

This is a relationship we ignored when we ceased making main entry
under editor for complilations.

The advocates of RDA speak of "playing with others", but abandon the
most successful intrnational code of all time, ISBD with its choice
(including one main entry) and order of elements, with internationally
standardized inclusions.
