Deborah Fritz said concerning stereographic images in a volume: >Apparently, stereographic images can also appear on slides, printed sheets, >and iPhones, so, I would say that the carrier list might need updating for >this media, but until that happens, it seems to me that the only option, to >mirror the media, would be to use 'other' as the carrier type.
I nearly always agree with the brilliant Deborah. But in this case, I think it would be better to be truthful, and more helpful, to use "volume", even if it means mixing and matching. "Other" is not helpful to anybody. A volume is what one has in this case. I supposed it is a matter of being pragmatic vs. obeying the letter of rules. The world of library resources is far too varied to force into preconceived categories, without some leeway. __ __ J.
