So it is working on first glance, but fails on the end of process:
Correct. And according to your logs, everything went fine. Those
exception messages were all handled -- printing them was only
informational. Thanks for running the test.
One observation. If run without arguments, rdiff-backup load CPU to
100% several seconds, before drop message:
Fatal Error: No arguments given

Possible it is also bug?
Hmm, I don't know why it spikes to 100%. Probably that is Python
starting up ... things like that.
