Hi guys, I'm getting frequent backup failures to our server.
Here's output from the latest error. I've clean'd the PC of dust. I've checked the hard drive with relevant WD diagnostic tools, it passed. Any suggestions welcome. rdiff-backup --remote-tempdir /mnt/hda1/tmp --ssh-no-compression --force -v5 --print-statistics B:/Users/Michelle tc@10.1.1.150::/mnt/hda1/rdiffbackup.repositorys/Michelle@MICHELLE Exception '[Errno 5] Input/output error' raised of class '<type 'exceptions.IOError'>': File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 304, in error_check_Main File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 324, in Main File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 280, in take_action File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 343, in Backup File "rdiff_backup\backup.pyc", line 51, in Mirror_and_increment File "rdiff_backup\connection.pyc", line 450, in __call__ File "rdiff_backup\connection.pyc", line 370, in reval Traceback (most recent call last): File "rdiff-backup", line 30, in <module> File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 304, in error_check_Main File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 324, in Main File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 280, in take_action File "rdiff_backup\Main.pyc", line 343, in Backup File "rdiff_backup\backup.pyc", line 51, in Mirror_and_increment File "rdiff_backup\connection.pyc", line 450, in __call__ File "rdiff_backup\connection.pyc", line 370, in reval IOError: [Errno 5] Input/output error Fatal Error: Lost connection to the remote system It may be worth noting that the backup server is freezing up a bit as well. I'm currently testing it with MemTest86. If its not the hard drive or the ram, I guess I'll try the power supply after that. Thanks, Stephen.
