i would also like to hear service reports on this too, specifically the 
standard grundfos centrifugal pumps with dc motor (SQF). helical rotors wear 
faster, so of course their life would not be as long.

by comparison, i have a 26 year old, 3/4 hp standard well pump which is still 
fully operational and in irrigation season, pumps ~2500 gallons a day.
