I have been told by more than AHJ here (and that is the best person to ask is
your AHJ): “6’- 8” to the highest and as long as the floor will not flood it
could rest on the floor.”

Hey Wrenches,

We are installing some inverters in a basement where the height we hang them at
is limited by some windows. I'm trying to find a code reference that says how
far off the ground the DC/AC disco on the inverter needs to be but am not
finding one. Could be that they are in the 3' range. Not ideal but might be our
best option. Anyone know where I could look up compliance?

Thanks

Adam
