No problems that I know of and about 15 that work fine. I only use the XW for my clients but many out there.
You said the voltage decreased below absorb when you tried, EQ will not start unless it has gone thru absorb to float. The work around to start EQ without going thru the cycle is to program a bulk, absorb, and float for the EQ voltage. Other ways also like shortening absorb time to one minute. You also know that you should never EQ a battery that is not charged without monitoring bat temp and being on site. EQ does have to be enabled in set-up BTW. It is not the firmware either unless it was a botched update. Do not forget to reprogram any changes you make! Good Luck! Schneider has no solution and it is just outside the 2 year warranty. I am going to try a couple of things when I go back: * setting the battery type to the default for FLA battery - it is set to Custom battery right now; * installing an older firmware version, to see if it is just a bug in the last update. However, based on the condition of the battery, I suspect the client has never been able to properly equalize; despite thinking they were doing everything properly. A real shame they even released this inverter to the market. This will likely be the third and last CSW that we end up replacing with a Magnum. If anyone else has had issues with the CSW, I'd like to know. We know other installers that believe this was a defective product from the beginning and would like to press Schneider to compensate clients and installers who have wasted far too much time and money trying to make it work as promised. If so, the generator needs to be running to execute EQ on the inverter. It's an SW4024 with Flooded Lead Acid batteries. The system is configured using the Custom Battery setting: Bulk and Absorption are set to 29.2 V. Equalize is set to 32 V. The problem is when Equalize is enabled, the system goes through Bulk and Absorption just fine. However, when it switches to Equalize it doesn't actually equalize. What I observed was the voltage actually decreased to 0.5 V below the Absorption Voltage setting. Eric Smiley, P.Eng.
