Do you have the proper hub 10.3 installed? And are the jumpers set correctly? Mate3S? it almost sounds like the slave is set in the Mate not to charge. And if not plugged into the correct hub port, stuff like this happens also. And the Mate3 might not work properly with newer inverters, as I remember.
