All of the inverters will be fried anyway. Or they will be bricked before
that by a foreign actor. :)

I have one client maintaining a FLA battery bank on the side that is about
25% of the capacity of his LFP for dire emergencies. He's keeping the FLA
topped off with the LFP system. Not the most efficient system, but if
you're planning for Armageddon... why not? It would be an easy switchover
if the inverters are still functional. He has a spare Sol-Ark on the shelf,
too.

I have actually suggested this to off-grid clients with HUPs that are still
viable. If they have the space and the solar capacity, keep the HUPs,
charge them on a smart load circuit with a Chargeverter when you have
excess solar, and they will be there if the worst happens. Of course, I can
see maintenance being neglected, but if they're otherwise going to the
recycler anyway... why not? Most clients opt to remove them because they
just don't want to look at them anymore. Batteries need to be pretty all of
a sudden. Thanks, Tesla.
