Hi,

I've just finished a site using reactor and all is going well so far.
Once again, big thanks to Doug for reactor!

My boss now wants me to put up a copy of the site on the same server, so
we can demo new functionality to clients, and they can use it for
training staff.
The test site will have it's own db, so we can make changes without
damaging the live site's data.

In an ideal world I would put the test site on a separate server, but
unfortunately we don't have the budget for that.

I'll change the dsn in the reactor.xml file, but I'm concerned that the
reactor data mapping will point to the live site. I presume that a)
changes I make to the files won't appear, and b) I write data to the
live database by mistake.

I've thought about using a different mapping for the test site. Would
this create huge differences between the code for live and test sites?
The other thing I considered was moving the reactor data folder to the
web root (on both live and text), then deleting the mapping in cf admin.
Would this still work, and is it a safer option?

Finally, do I need to change the reactor project value too? I'm not sure
where this is used behind the scenes.

Any advice from people who've experienced a similar situation would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Gareth
