I just had a user email me that the main window of an RB app (OSX and he sent me a screen shot) went under the menu bar and he couldn't get it back out. On close, I save the window position. He says he dragged the window up to get at something lower on the screen.
That sounds imposible but of course nothing is.
Anyone know how this could happen?
I think I've seen this once with multiple displays, after removing a display.
Anyone know of a fix/workaround to prevent it?
Make sure the code that reads your preferences does some reality checking, i.e.: on which monitor is my window? is it the main monitor with the menu bar? if yes then the menu bar must be taken into account! In any case the code that reads the preferences should not take the window position it reads in for granted.
