Is there a way of obtaining the date and time format?
Not the date and time itself but how it is supposed to be formatted
depending on how the user has configured it's system.
Well, just make a known Date (like Mar 04 1978), then get the
ShortDate of it, and parse it out. Since all the digits in your date
are unique, you can easily see where the month, day, and year have
gone.
Being aware that you could get something not resembling it--on my
computer, that date would return 25 Adar I 5738! If something like
that happens, best to fall back to ISO yyyy-mm-dd._______________________________________________
