Or, as in my case, the compile speed is fine.

Compile speed is the compile speed. I don't get too caught up in this either. I don't bother to compare it to previous versions. It doesn't affect the end result of my products. Applications size for the most part is also a similar case, where I know the issue is probably the growing size of the framework, and the advantages of a self-contained app usually outweigh any size issues.

Speed of the IDE is mostly OK too, since I have the fastest Mac made to-date.

I don't think the new IDE is all that great, but in general, I can use RB to get my projects done, so I don't have the same beefs that people with actual show-stoppers, and I'm glad for that.

RB is working for me, for the things I am asking it to do. I won't write the next Photoshop with it, but then I never planned to.

But, I think people should have a right to commiserate on the NUG, if only to find out if there are shared experiences that need to be communicated more formally to RS, or failing that to offer each other support or even discussion of what alternative tools they are planning to move to. It is a user group. Why should everyone have to be happy with the tool in order to participate? Why would this be considered "whining" or "blabbering", I'm sure if others hit show- stoppers that potentially screwed up their business plans, they would consider it "legitimate concerns" all of a sudden. Who am I to determine what is legitimate and what is whining or blabbering? I certainly don't think it appropriate for these people to be the brunt of insults just for feeling like they have been somehow let down by RB. (Not that Joe insulted anyone, but others have gone out of their way to.)
