If the application needs to write some information, regardless of
what this is, then it will need somewhere to write this,
usually this will be assigning a ramdisk to memory.
Or maybe mount a webdav share, then write to this?
As to the question, is it possible to run RB on a RO medium, then no,
unless you can push the output to /dev/null,
but I'm not sure if that will work or even possible (and it will
probably crash RB in the process).
