About this I find another thing annoying:

if try to modify with Photoshop an image referenced in an open RB project
Photoshop will complain that it can't be saved because it's in use by
another application

even if I close the project the image can't be saved,
I must quit the IDE to do it

It seems that RB forgets to close an image file after reading it
