I've been away from RB for quite some time, playing with Xcode, mostly. I'm
not a professional programmer - more of a hobbyist who writes a few simple
apps to make my real work easier.

Xcode is great, but seems to require a great deal of research and effort for
me to stay current. Every time I have to implement something there is sooo
much for me to learn. When I revisit a project that I've worked on or start
a new one I find it takes quite a bit of time for me to get back up to
speed.

So I'm thinking about returning to RB. I bought a license for 450
(standard), 500 (standard) and 550 (standard).

I have been reading some very disturbing things about RB 2006 and wondered
if those negative comments are those of a noisy few or the general
consensus. And if that's the case, would I be better off waiting on RB 2006
and using 5.5.2 (the last version I have). By the way, is there a way to
get 5.5.5? Am I even entitled to it with my license?

Thanks for any and all comments.
Phil
