Every press release I've read, including the one issued on June 6,
2005, said "BY this time next year", which is a very broad
statement indeed, and doesn't say ANYTHING about June 2006.

to ship in June.
Indeed, but almost everyone took that to mean June of next year. Sort
of like how we're saying we'll have it shipped by the end of the
year, and everyone thinks that means December 31 :)
