Yes, but you should only use it if you really really really need to
survive. Same goes for using ODBC to access MySQL, you lose speed,
and lots of it when comparing it to a native driver (if it's well
written of course).
Agreed. But the mySQL plugin doesn't seem to be getting much in the
way of care, and isn't updated for mySQL 5.
