There are a couple of follow-on changes, such as getting rid of the window/code button so that I can have both open at once. (Actually, this button isn't even consistent with the current model: you should be able to have both a window and the code for the window open in separate tabs.) The problem is that this button appears _ONLY_ on the tool bar (shame, shame: not following good UI design here), so if you don't display the toolbar, you can't change the setting. And the toolbar takes up a lot of screen real estate.
I agree that a keyboard shortcut to switch between the layout and the code would be extremely useful, but I have to wonder why you would need the layout and the code open at the same time - perhaps it's just different coding styles, but I seldom use the layout view once the window has been designed, I just use the code view and click on the various events etc. Again, it's personal preference, but I prefer a tabbed view to having a million windows open - in my current project I have 6 open tabs as I'm working on various classes all at the same time - I would hate to have to have 6 windows open. However, you're point of double-clicking to open in a new window would solve both preferences for working. Thanks for your feedback. All the best, Mark. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
