I'm using OS X Mail which groups message threads. Sometimes new
threads are grouped incorrectly -- being filed under a previous
thread -- making it very hard to find messages (or whole threads) and
follow a thread.
Example, I started a thread on 6/14, "BNF to EBNF" on 6/15 it changed
to "File Type & Creator", then again on 6/15 it changed to "Comment
on progressbars..."
Does anyone know if this is this the result of hitting reply to a
message (for the convenience of capturing the email address of the
list) and changing the Subject line? IIRC, a "Message ID" or some
such is retained in the reply and used by e-mail clients to group
threads.
