As a result of a thread here last week about the Color Picker functionality
on the Mac, I wrote my own Color Picker Module. Nothing fancy, it basically
mimics the function that comes with REALbasic. A sample project and the
module is included in the download. The module can be used free of charge,
but it is encrypted. It is to be used at your own risk. It is written in
RB2006 Release 3 on OS X 10.3.9.
I also added another way to make the call to the color dialog. In my
version, like REALbasic, the text that is supposed to be show as a prompt in
the dialog title, does not show up. I've looked and tried other calls to get
this to work, but I have not been able to do so. You may also call the color
dialog like this,
Dim c As Color
SelectColor_TJC c
if ColorPicker_GetNewColorChosen Then
Self.BackColor = c
Else
Self.BackColor = c
End
Again, this is to be used on a Mac only.
