Well they did fix a number of framework bugs as a result of
developing REALbasic 2005 and 2006; and when you get right down to
it I would rather have my apps run more smoothly and have to deal
with a few IDE quirks.
Grab some student. Donate some money and make them report all bugs.
Less time consuming with respect to RS' developers and most likely less
expensive too.
Now that 2006 R3 is released, maybe REAL Software will start using
REALbasic 2006 R3 for all development (project management features
were mentioned as the reason why development was done in 5.5.9).
Sounds really funny: RS didn't used RB since it lacked certain
project management features -
but sold it for years for professional software development purposes.
Funny, that RS found finally...
