So, it looks like Rb's XML does not support validating XML against a
DTD (this is not news). Until that support comes, should we in the
meantime be able to turn off validation (or have it turned off by
default)?

How many of you use Rb's XML in an 'enterprise' setting?
How much of a problem is Rb's lack of support for DOCTYPE/DTDs?
Is it considered 'best practice' to simply remove the DTD?

Hi,
I'm having trouble with the XMLReader class not parsing XML
properly if it contains a <!DOCTYPE> element. I'm getting an
XMLReader Exception of type 21, the same as in this message below
from 2004:
http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/realbasic-nug/2004-10/
msg01225.html
Does anyone know why this is happening, and if there is a
workaround other than removing the offending element?
Thanks,
