I had MySQL 4.0 installed on my PowerBook so that I could do self- contained PHP web development (localhost). Then I installed Adobe Creative Suite 2 (CS2) with the "Version Cue" which totally destroyed my existing MySQL installation and data.

Oooh, nasty. Interestingly enough I have the upgrade to CS2 sitting on my desk waiting to install and I run MySQL 4 locally for PHP testing too. I don't have any important data there but I'll back up the tables first. I'm also on the beta program for CS3 so it will be interesting to see if anything's changed.

We haven't used Versioncue here with CS but now I'm keen to try it to see what happens:)

I was not happy, and chances are I will need to wipe the entire computer and reinstall everything in order to get the computer back to the way it was.

Sounds a bit radical, why not just reinstall MySQL?

cheers
