Every Mac keyboard I've ever used, the key above return is
"Delete" which deletes before the insertion point, and the one
to the right is "Forward Delete" which deletes after the
insertion point. I've never seen a Mac keyboard labeled
"Backspace", even on a PowerBook.
What you call Backspace (delete the character on the right of the
cursor) is present on "Extended" Keyboards and with the use of the
fn key on recent (some years) PowerBooks.
The key which delete the character on the right of the cursor IS
the delete key. This delete key is, indeed, not present on any
keyboard.
The one which is always there, below the F-Keys and above the enter
key is, from one of all its names, also named "Backsapce", I'm sure.
I'm wondering why you absolutely want to not trust me...
I have a Pro keyboard here that has two "delete" keys
One next to the +=key, below F11 and F12 labelled delete
It behaves as a backspace and removes the character to the left of
the insertion point
It also has a key below "help" labelled "del" which deletes the
character to the right if the insertion point (forward delete)
The forward delete can be had on most laptops by pressing the
function key and press the "backspace" key (labelled delete)
