We all agree and have said that Apple does currently label that key
the Delete key. No one is disagreeing about that. But just because
that's how Apple labels the key, that doesn't make it right in a
cross platform environment like REALbasic.
The ASCII code it sends is still BACKSPACE. The same key with the
same function on all the other RB supported platforms is labeled
BACKSPACE.
It's quite reasonable that the RB mnemonic for that key should be
BKSP as Jon explained.
The DELETE key is an entirely different key, even on Apple extended
keyboards, and certainly on all other keyboards in the entire PC
industry.
The fact that Apple labeled the Backspace key with the word Delete is
an anomaly.

Joe Huber
PS Check out the Mac Plus keyboard if you want to see an Apple
keyboard with that key labeled as BACKSPACE.
