Thanks for the reply Greg. I have read the information referred to, but I am more interrested in the graphical diplay of the waveform data... Any ideas on drawing it on a canvas control?

If it is possible, can anyone provide me with an example project or code on how to achieve this. I am a novice programmer new to RB, but i have learned alot through developing this project, as I was always interested in audio programs. I have seen example projects in VB that have achieved audio waveform display in realtime or on-the-fly, but try to convert this to RB has proved cumbresome and virtually impossible for me. > > > > Please can anyone help me with an example code or project on how to achieve this, as I am sure that there are other RB programmers out there that are just as interested.
