Exactly. Ive developed a program with the Runtime Revolution guys in which the RevSelect vendor program cross-promotes products and allows Rev to act as a reseller. The benefits are many and it provides validation without taking on the responsibilities that are naturally those of the third party developer. It is a win-win. There is no reason why REAL couldn't do something similar. Ruslan and I have given some serious thought as to what could be done without REAL's involvement - such as we always have. We sell into multiple markets - RB, Rev, .net, COM, Director, etc., and its clear that we get cross-over sales from customers that would not have otherwise considered REALbasic if we hadnt put it forward as a recommended solution. Our prosperity method is to offer a technology that isnt dependent on any one IDE. Its been somewhat underutilized but this is one reason why we set up the forum on Digital Pilon (http://www.digitalpilon.com). If REAL doesn't want to step up to the plate, that's unfortunate - Id really like to see a third party specific forum/community for REALbasic plugin developers where its possible to cross-polinate cross-vendor bundle offers, promotions and the like.
